The American Medical Resources Foundation's mission is to improve health care around the world by donating medical equipment and supplies to hospitals that serve the poor in underdeveloped and developing countries of the world.
AMRF Continues to Help
Unfortunately (during these trying times) AMRF is unable to send full containers to the thousands in need of our assistance. However, we still continue to assist all people in need, just on a smaller scale. This global pandemic has pushed many to their limits and AMRF has continued to make good on our mission. Most recently, we packed supplies and sent them to the grateful folks at "Colonia Satelite Mixco Health Center" in Guatemala.
A heartfelt "Thank You" after receiving the supplies:
"AMRF and PROSAVI are present in marginal areas of our beaten homeland and that is how equipment and supplies were delivered to the Colonia Satelite Mixco Health Center in Guatemala.Thank you Victor for such great support, we will continue to fight for the good of the communities in need."
Morton Donates Hospital Beds to Guatemala
In collaboration with the humanitarian organization American Medical Resources Foundation (AMRF), Morton Hospital was pleased to recently donate 20 mechanical hospital beds to help support patient care at health care facilities in the country of Guatemala, where these types of mechanical beds are highly desired. The beds previously served elderly patients at the Taunton Nursing Home facility before being donated to Morton Hospital to support our patient demand during the COVID pandemic. The beds will now go on to assist the less fortunate in Guatemala where they have also suffered from the COVID pandemic as well as devastating hurricanes in 2020.
Our very own Tom Magliocchetti, Sr. Director of Facilities & Operations, is a co-founder of AMRF, which has shipped more than 500 containers of used but fully functional medical equipment and supplies donated by American hospitals to underdeveloped and developing countries across the globe over the past three decades.
